Here are several photos of good quality that were taken in 1956 when a few of us from Langar were on our way to an RAF Air Base south of London,England (I have an idea that it was Biggen Hill but not sure) to take part in a fire fighting competition that included the USAF, RAF and ourselves. The photos include a stop we made at a pub on the way there,( to eat of course,) photos of our team during the competion,servicing our extinguihers, and after the competion, The USAF won but how they did it wasn`t exactly kosher, not sour grapes but a fact.They used CTC on the class A fire because it was raining that day and it worked. We came in second. Our team consisted of Pat Armstrong; Lorne McLean, myself and two others that their names escape me after so many years.
