My name is Penny Blue. I was writing to you because I notice that the
author of "The Fireman's Prayer" was unknown. I've known the author for almost 36
years. His name is A.W. 'Smokey' Linn. He retired from the Wichita Kansas Fire
Dept. (Sta. #1) in 1975. He's also my Grandfather! He's wrote many
other poems and stories about his years as a firefighter and can be
