BURGESS, Benjamin Harry In loving memory of Benjamin Harry Burgess, 63 years of Val Caron who passed away Friday morning, September 16th, 2005 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Memorial Site. He was born in Newport Station, N.S. and married Joan (Mayer) in 1964 in Sudbury . Benjamin settled in the Sudbury area in 1990 previously residing in Moncton , N.B. for 15 years. He had served in the Canadian Army for over 15 years being discharged in 1975. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br#76, Sudbury . He had been an insurance underwriter with Zurich Insurance for 16 years retiring in 1995. A skilled Mr. Fix It he enjoyed helping with a repair or renovation project. Always quick to help others Benjamin will be remembered as a very kind and compassionate man who was devoted to his loving family. Beloved husband of Joan (Mayer) Burgess of Val Caron. Loving father of Paul (wife Tina) of Amherstburg, David (wife Lisa) of Kemptville and John of Val Caron. Cherished grandfather of Meghan, Jonathan, Kaiden, Camryn and Carter. Dear son of Benjamin and Mary (Pemperton) Burgess predeceased. Dear brother of Hazel Lynch predeceased, Margaret Ross of Westville, N.S., Joyce Sanford of Curry's Corner, N.S., Hugh Burgess of Newport Station, N.S., Shirley Benson of Brockville and Earl Burgess of Newport Station, N.S. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Val Caron/Blezard Valley Chapel, 1815 Main St., Val Caron, Tuesday, September 20th, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #76 Sudbury . In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
